Due to site being adjacent to the Victoria, Piccadilly and Jubilee Lines, this residential building needed to be decoupled from its basement with vibration isolators provided by CDM.

Clarges is a mixed use development on Piccadilly adjacent to Green Park. The building closest to Piccadilly is residential from the 1st floor. Due to the site being adjacent to the Victoria, Piccadilly and Jubilee Lines the residential building was specified as having to be isolated on 8Hz bearings.

The Kennel Club’s Headquarters was in the original building and are now re-housed in new offices on the development. This meant that the residential building had to be built in two halves to move the programme forward.

CDM designed, manufactured and installed the CDM-VHS-BOX pre-compressed elastomer 8Hz bearings. These were used to limit the differential movement between the two halves of the building during construction.
